MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Medication can play a vital role in managing mental disorders by helping to balance brain chemistry, alleviate symptoms, and improve overall well-being. For many individuals, medications like antidepressants, anti-anxiolytics, or mood stabilizers can provide significant relief and help stabilize emotions, allowing them to better engage in therapy and other coping strategies. When prescribed and monitored by a healthcare professional, medications can support long-term recovery, improve quality of life, and provide a foundation for those struggling to regain control over their mental health.

THERAPY

Therapy support is an essential part to mental health treatment. I highly encourage all patients to find a therapist if they do not already have one. I will be happy to provide referrals as needed and recommend different therapy disciplines based on your needs.

SUPPLEMENTS
 

Supplements and herbs can support mental health, especially for mild to moderate symptoms of conditions like anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Options like omega-3s, B vitamins, and herbs such as St. John’s Wort or ashwagandha may help improve mood and reduce stress. Additionally, lab testing can play a crucial role in identifying deficiencies—such as low vitamin D or B12 levels—that may contribute to psychiatric symptoms, allowing for more personalized and effective treatment planning.
